For the 5th year in a row, Paris leads the ranking of the best study cities by QS Best Student Cities Rankings and bested Melbourne and Tokyo. The ranking is made by the same team that designs the World University Ranking, QS World University Rankings. To join the ranking, a city must have at least 250,000 inhabitants and host at least two institutions ranked in the QS World University Rankings.

Paris is the second most affordable city among the first five of the ranking. It's also the second city to have internationally acknowledged universities!

The two other French cities to be part of the ranking, Lyon and Toulouse, are respectively ranked 46^th and 74^th.

The ranking is established according to 18 criteria in 5 categories.
