France Alumni opens in Morocco
France Alumni Morocco: the social network for Moroccan students trained in France
Launched by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, "francealumni.fr" is a new online platform designed for alumni of the French higher education system, i.e. all those who studied in France, whether for all their studies or not. It registers about 118,000 members abroad. To officially launch the Moroccan network, the French embassy in Morocco held a party on Thursday 14 of September 2017 at the Résidence de France in Rabat.
Francealumni.fr is a multilingual platform designed to unite, inform and guide international students who studied in the French higher education system. The platform supports them before, during and after their studies, connects them in a network and creates professional value for their stay in France.
With France Alumni Morocco, the French embassy in Morocco will improve relations with the community of Moroccan alumni, among other through the creation of a directory of alumni networks. Moroccan members will have the opportunity to exchange, take advantage of professional opportunities for their job search, the progress of their career, their training or scholarships, but also to stay updated on French cultural and tourist news.
In 2017, 37,000 Moroccan students were in mobility in France. They make the biggest bulk of foreign students welcomed in France. By structuring the Moroccan alumni network, the Moroccan platform will join together about 20 active networks of alumni representing French high schools of the AEFE, the main schools and French higher education institutions. The platform already had over 6,000 members at its launch.
The launch party counted representatives of French institutions in Morocco, representatives and members of Moroccan alumni networks who graduated in the French higher education system, heads of French higher education institutions in Morocco and Moroccan partners.
France Alumni is a project by the Campus France Morocco Office. The launch party for the platform was supported by the OCP Group.
