On June 21, tune in to the World Music Day!
In 2018, over 3,000 musical events are scheduled in France for the 37th World Music Day.
Created in France in 1982, the "Fête de la Musique" gradually became international. Today, more than 100 countries celebrate music worldwide. The date of June 21 was chosen for having the shortest night in the Northern hemisphere... giving the opportunity to party (and celebrate music) even longer!
The World Music Day is a popular celebration showcasing music in all its forms:
- encouraging all amateur musicians to play music in the streets and public areas;
- organising many free concerts to allow a wider audience to access different musics from all kinds and origins, from the classics to the most modern.
In France, concerts are organised by the city hall of big and small cities or by other organisations and institutions. It's also the case in higher education institutions, which offer concerts and musical events every year on the campus. Come and participate!

In 2017, Campus France celebrated music with international musicians and singers.
