Founded in 1919 in the heart of Paris, ECE Paris is authorized to confer the title of engineer. The ECE Paris curriculum focuses on new technologies—computer science, networks, telecommunications, embedded systems, and digital media—to support innovation in all sectors of the economy. In response to employers' concerns, the scientific and technical components of the curriculum are complemented by instruction in communication, languages, and management.

ECE Paris enrolls 2,000 students in its 5-year engineering program. The last 2 years of the program are open to international students who hold a bachelor's degree and wish to earn a master's level degree in engineering. ECE Paris is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE), the Conférence des Directeurs des Ecoles Françaises d'Ingénieurs (CDEFI, conference of directors of French engineering schools), the Union des Grandes Ecoles Indépendantes (UGEI), CampusFrance, and Laureate International Universities, the world's leading network of private universities.
