Night of Ideas 2018 - World 3.0 New technologies, ...new creativity?

Night of Ideas 2018, one night for debates all around the world on the theme of Power to Imagination.

Join us for the debate and unique audiovisual experiences!
 
As new technologies are being invented, new kinds of contents appear with new aesthetics and new structures of knowledge. We will discuss the impact of new technologies on content: how do new technologies reshape existing content or create new kinds of content? From archives to contemporary art, passing by a classical music concert in VR; artists, researchers and VR specialists will debate around shape and content in the context of the development of new technologies.

Visitors will be able to listen to extracts from the Rivonia Trial, experience Mozart 360° (in VR) and look at Banele Khoza’s visual art. These three different projects will be the public's first encounter and introduction to the debate itself.

Doors open at 17.30 to allow the audience to enjoy the unique audivisual expereinces. The debate will start at 19.00, followed by Q&A.
