Between Paris and Tokyo, the successful journey of about twenty alumni
Visite du palais de Tokyo
The Palais de Tokyo became the biggest modern art centre in 2012. On Wednesday 20th of July 2016, it opened its doors to about 20 alumni.
Why such a name for this building? What is its story? What makes it so well known?
Led by the explanations of their guide, the alumni unveiled the mysteries of the story behind the building from the 30's and enjoyed two temporary exhibitions of very different styles: the first, "Rester vivant" (Staying alive), is by Michel Houellebecq and is structured like a novel, and the second is by Mika Rottenberg, an Argentinian artist known to put on the stage scenes of assembly-line work.
The 30 minutes visit put the alumni at the heart of the diversity of the Parisian heritage and exhibitions offered in the capital city.
