First open house day
à Campus France
On September 15th, Campus France opened its doors for the first time to all international scholarship students in the Île-de-France region registered in the France Alumni and which scholarship is managed by Campus France. The day was created to allow them to complete on the spot and in one afternoon only all their processes in relation with their setting in France.
About 150 foreign scholarship students and alumni benefited for specific services: opening a bank account, registering to a student insurance, completing processes for a residence permit, getting information on social security and cultural activities with Campus France. About 31 of them even had the chance to find a tutor through the association IxESN* and its buddy system program.
The day was also an opportunity for scholarship students to meet and exchange info about their arrival in France. They were welcomed and counselled by 3 Alumni (Terumi Onuma, Dounia Touil and Jorge Moron) who shared their experience and encouraged newcomers to register on the France Alumni platform, where all foreign students who came to France to study keep in touch and maintain their bond with French culture and language and may find internship and job opportunities.
The next Campus France meeting for Campus France Paris and Île-de-France scholarship students will be held during the presentation cocktail of the new catalogue of cultural activities on the 6th of October. Registrations are open!
