THEATRE (in French) : Rimbaud selon Harar
Groupe "Ethiopia"
Rimbaud selon Harar is a dramatic poem focused on the essential characteristic of Arthur Rimbaud’s life: his quest for absolute freedom under all its possible forms, against all obstacles and illusions which oppose this ideal. Through the evocation of Rimbaud’s human and poetical adventure, the text recounts the meeting and the passionate relationship between the “Man with wind soles” and the town of Harar, where Rimbaud settles for ever in 1888, up to his death in 1891, at the end of his tragic way back to France. It’s indeed in Harar that Rimbaud found the “place and formula” of this freedom he had looked for everywhere.
